SYMBIOSIS OF HEALTH: UNRAVELING THE RELATIONSHIPS AMONG INTERLEUKIN-10, CHOLESTEROL, AND BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS IN GEOHELMINTH-POSITIVE ADOLESCENTS AND ADULTS - A COMPARATIVE STUDY

Annisa Darwin, Berkah jonson

Read Abstract

This comparative study delves into the intricate relationships among interleukin-10 (IL-10), cholesterol levels, and blood glucose levels in geohelminth-positive adolescents and adults. Geohelminth infections, prevalent in many regions, present a unique context to explore the immunomodulatory effects on IL-10 and its potential impact on metabolic parameters. Utilizing a comprehensive approach, the research aims to unravel the symbiotic dynamics between immune response, cholesterol regulation, and glucose metabolism in individuals harboring geohelminth infections. Insights from this study hold promise for understanding the interplay between parasitic infections and metabolic health.

BENEFITS OF ASSISTED WEIGHT TRAINING IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC LOW BACK PAIN

Melissa Alves Aires Marques, Bianca Gabriella De Oliveira, João Pedro Alves Xavier, Lucas Dias Borges Peres, Thaís Simões De Oliveira Borges, Hussien Ali Mustapha, Fabricio Negreiros Holtz, Ravi Cavalcanti Mendes, Marcella Rodrigues Costa Simões

Read Abstract

Pain is an individual experience that is affected by psychological, social and physical factors and should be treated as a pathology in itself. Low back pain is a mechanical pain located in the lumbar region and gluteal fold, which may or may not generate stiffness and consequently reduced functionality. Lumbosciatalgia, on the other hand, is when this pain and discomfort radiates to the limb, to one or two buttocks and/or to the posterior region of the thigh. This study is a literature review, with searches in the following databases: PubMed, Lilacs and Scielo, using descriptors such as "low back pain", "physical training", "strength training" and "low back pain". Low back pain is one of the most common causes of disability in modern society, with a prevalence of 60-85%; it is the second leading cause of seeking medical attention.Strength training and core stability improves the balance and endurance of the lumbar muscles, as well as activating the deeper muscle groups, reinforcing the fixity of the spine and reducing the stimulation of pain receptors in the tissues. This is why free weight training with higher intensity loads, or not, provides wide-ranging benefits for prevention and improved quality of life due to significant reductions in pain, improved posture, flexibility and strength endurance.

IMPACT OF INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION ON MORTALITY PATTERNS: EXPLORING THE ROLES OF HOMICIDE AND ECONOMIC FACTORS

Angela Bourne

Read Abstract

International migration has become a prominent global phenomenon with multifaceted implications for societies, economies, and public health. This study investigates the influence of international migration on mortality patterns, with a specific focus on the roles played by homicide rates and economic factors. By analyzing demographic data, migration trends, and mortality statistics from diverse regions, this research explores the intricate connections between migration flows and changes in mortality rates. The study delves into the relationship between international migration and homicides, considering the potential influence of social integration, economic disparities, and cultural factors. Additionally, the study examines the interplay between migration, economic conditions, and overall mortality rates, aiming to provide a nuanced understanding of the complex dynamics at play. The findings contribute to the broader discourse on the impact of migration on public health outcomes and offer insights into potential policy interventions to mitigate negative effects and promote healthier societies.

IMPACT OF GUT MICROBIOTA ON THE GUT-BRAIN AXIS IN NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS AND THE ROLE OF ENDOCRINE AND METABOLIC MARKERS

Diyora Pulatova

Read Abstract

This review highlights the critical importance of gut microbiota in modulating the gut-brain axis and its consequences for neurological disorders, including autism, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease. New evidence is just beginning to suggest that gut microbiota may affect brain functioning through the intricate pathways of the immune, endocrine, and metabolic systems. This review discusses how alterations in gut microbiota composition may lead to aberrant endocrine responses and changes in metabolic markers contributing to neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, and behavioural symptoms related to these diseases. This study will look at the potential targeting of the gut microbiome as a therapeutic strategy for neurological disorders through bidirectional interactions between the gut and the central nervous system. These findings have relevance toward understanding the gut-brain axis in the search for new biomarkers and development of personalised interventions in better promotion of neurological health.

Dilfuzahon Zakirjanovna Mamarasulova

Read Abstract

This article describes the role of biochemical markers in the pathology of the cervical epithelium.  In research 10716 women aged 25-65 years were examined (mean age 43.28±3.82 years). And in the course of the study, it was found that the expression of the P16INK4A protein by cervical epithelial cells increases the risk of epithelial metaplasia of any degree by 8.86 times, high-grade epithelial metaplasia - by 692 times, RMS by 48 times.
