ENHANCING ANTIFUNGAL THERAPY: DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF NANO-GEL LOADED WITH FLUCONAZOLE FOR TOPICAL APPLICATION

Saurabh Netra

Read Abstract

Article explore the formulation and assessment of a novel nanoparticle-based topical gel containing the antifungal drug fluconazole. This study focuses on the design, preparation, and characterization of the nano-gel, aiming to improve drug delivery efficiency and therapeutic efficacy for the treatment of fungal infections. Through a combination of physicochemical characterization techniques, drug release studies, and in vitro and in vivo evaluations, the performance and efficacy of the nano-gel formulation are investigated. The results demonstrate the potential of the fluconazole-loaded nano-gel as a promising therapeutic approach for antifungal therapy, offering enhanced drug delivery and improved treatment outcomes.

THE CONTRIBUTION OF NON-ALCOHOLIC FATTY LIVER DISEASE TO THE PROGRESSION OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS

S.I. Sadikova, N. S.- Khodjaeva

Read Abstract

In the context of insulin resistance syndrome, which encompasses changes in lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, liver-related issues are now being closely examined alongside cardiovascular diseases. Our research aimed to evaluate the predictive importance of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) for identifying the likelihood of early atherosclerotic alterations in the carotid arteries. We discovered a connection between NAFLD and initial signs of atherosclerosis. By ranking prognostic factors that affect changes in the carotid artery wall, we've been able to develop a method for estimating individual atherosclerosis risk in people who are otherwise healthy. The practical value of our findings underscores the need for in-depth evaluation of individuals with NAFLD to identify risk factors that may contribute to the advancement of both liver and cardiovascular diseases.

MAXILLARY GROWTH RATES AFTER PALATOPLASTY DEPENDING ON THE MATERIAL FOR APPLICATION ON LATERAL DEFECTS

Shaeva R.G.

Read Abstract

Numerous studies have proven the influence of palate plastic surgery on the development of the upper jaw - a restriction of growth in the transversal direction has been noted. In this regard, issues of improving surgical treatment protocols do not lose their relevance and require an interdisciplinary approach. The work carried out a comparative analysis of the effect on the parameters of the upper jaw of various materials for covering the surface of lateral palate defects formed during surgery to eliminate a congenital cleft palate (CCP). During digital processing of plaster models of the upper jaw 6 months after uranoplasty, a positive effect of covering the lateral areas of the palate in the area of the Ernst-Langebeck incisions with buccal fat pad (BFA) was discovered.

RESULTS OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH PINCHED

Utayev L.H., Dusiyarov M.M, Xujabayev S.T., Belyalov A.M.

Read Abstract

The results of this study include a retrospective and prospective study of 242 patients who underwent surgery for incarcerated hernias of the anterior abdominal wall complicated by intestinal obstruction. The risk of compartment syndrome and hernia recurrence was reduced from 19.1% to 5.4% with onlay non-tension hernioalloplasty with U-shaped fixation sutures (W1-W2) and combined onlay+sublay (W3-W4). For patients with pinched hernia complicated by intestinal obstruction, the proposed treatment algorithm can reduce the incidence of abdominal complications from 20.7% to 4.4%, general postoperative complications from 28.3% to 11.3%, mortality from 5.2% to 1.5% and wound complications from 28.3% to 8.8%.
