The article presents a comprehensive comparison of two predominant platforms used in contemporary nail services: classical monomer–polymer acrylate systems and UV-cured hard gels. The aim of the study is to conduct an integrated comparative analysis of the physicochemical, mechanical, and toxicological profiles of traditional acrylic systems and modern UV-cured hard gels, providing an evidence-based assessment of their effects on the integrity of the natural nail structure and the safety of their use in salon practice. The methodological framework includes a systematic review of interdisciplinary sources in polymer chemistry and physics, materials science, dermatology, and occupational hygiene, as well as a critical analysis of regulatory documents; emphasis is placed on reproducible selection criteria and comparability of metrics. The analytical block is structured around physicochemical determinants: monomer composition, crosslinking and kinetics/degree of conversion, post polymerization shrinkage, residual monomer fraction, and molecular weight distribution. These parameters are correlated with performance characteristics of the coatings, including elastic modulus and viscoelastic response, adhesion to the keratin substrate, wear and impact resistance, and resistance to wetting/drying cycles. The study demonstrates that UV-cured gels, by virtue of a softer mechanics profile (lower effective modulus and better tolerance to shear deformation), exhibit high biomechanical compatibility with the natural nail plate, reducing local stresses and the likelihood of microcrack formation. Toxicological assessment revealed a substantial differentiation of occupational risks: for acrylate monomers, inhalation exposure to volatile organic compounds and dust aerosols during filing predominates, whereas for gel systems the key factor is control of UV exposure dose and ensuring sufficient depth/completeness of cure to minimize residual monomer. When protocols for safe use are followed (local exhaust ventilation, personal protective equipment, correct photopolymerization, and a lamp replacement schedule), UV-cured hard gels appear to be a more biocompatible and mechanically sparing technology that helps preserve the structural integrity of the nail plate. The findings have practical significance for nail technicians (selection of materials and operating parameters), formulation technologists (optimization of formulations for target mechanical and toxicological profiles), instructors of specialized programs (updating training modules on safety and materials science), and dermatologists (clinical prevention and management of contact reactions).

The job shop deals with customized product deliverables because of which the product mix is high, but the volume is low. For smooth functioning of the Job shop facility, it is important to plan for multiple factors. The review deals with the challenges that come with job shop scheduling (JSP) and provides predictive schedules to optimize some of the performance measures like makespan, makespan risk, stability risk and tardiness. Due to the high variety of products and unpredictable demand the scheduling complexity is substantial. This complexity further increases when we consider unpredictable machine breakdowns, increased setup times and absence of manpower. In order to come up with a robust and reliable scheduling plan the study will mainly focus on using buffered strategies (additional idle time), use of an Artificial Neural Network to correctly estimate the variable solutions for makespan and tardiness and using genetic algorithms to reduce and mitigate risk.

The results of a study of solid-phase interaction in sintered compositions based on quartzite, quartz sand and enriched kaolin are presented. It has been established that the nature of the location of the melting isotherms on the triple diagram indicates the spread of new formation processes into the area of internal compositions of the triangle and the formation of crystalline phases of the minerals α-quartz, tridymite, cristobalite, mullite, which gives the necessary technological properties of finished refractory materials. It is shown that on the basis of quartzite and partially introduced quartz sand in combination with kaolin, it is possible to develop popular compositions of dinas refractory masses for lining non-standard places in high-temperature furnaces.

This article presents the possibility of regenerating spent perlite after the freezing process of vegetable oil. It was established that the composition of spent perlite contains up to 70% wax-like substances. Their combustion leads to the restoration of perlite as a filtration material or as a secondary raw material for obtaining silicon dioxide. It was determined that after calcination at 500–550°C for 120 minutes, the yield of calcined perlite amounts to 25%, while further temperature increases have little effect on yield, which indicates that the entire organic fraction burns out within this temperature range.

Expansion joints play a critical role in safely allowing movements in bridges due to temperature, shrinkage, creep, dynamic movement from traffic and seismic demands. For bridges in high seismic zones, movement demands can be significantly higher, hence selecting a proper expansion joint type is essential for ensuring the bridge performs as expected and maintain uninterrupted traffic flow. This study evaluates modular and finger expansion joint types based on space requirements and movement demands. A comparative analysis is performed using available supplier data. The findings of this research aim to assist engineers in selecting a proper expansion joint type.

Globally, the coronavirus (COVID-19) has had a negative impact on economies and healthcare systems. Clinical practitioners may become confused while identifying this new form of flu because the symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to those of existing chest conditions as pneumonia, tuberculosis (TB), lung cancer (LC), and pneumothorax. To address this problem, this study created a model to categorize various chest infections. In medical practice, chest x-ray examinations are the most common diagnostic technique and the main means of identifying these different types of chest infections. Researchers and paramedics are working hard to develop an accurate and reliable technique for the early diagnosis of COVID-19 to save lives; however, the diagnosis of COVID-19 remains highly idiosyncratic and varies significantly. Therefore, a multi-classification method was created and tested in this work based on deep learning (DL) and a mathematical algorithm model for automatic differentiation of COVID-19 cases from pneumonia based on chest x-ray images. These two diseases were diagnosed using a hybrid model named FPDCnet, which integrates a convolutional neural network (CNN) and Fractional Partial Differential models. This model was used alongside publicly available benchmark data to identify the diseases, and the performance was evaluated using several objective metrics, where it recorded an impressive accuracy of 98.1 %; the model also demonstrated remarkable precision (0.982), recall (0.980), and F1-score (0.981) values.

The article analyzes the strategic transition of a large-scale gift card platform for e-commerce from a monolithic architecture to a microservices model. The relevance of the study is driven by the need for established technology organizations to overcome constraints related to technical debt, such as slow development cycles and high keep-the-lights-on (KTLO) operational costs, in order to improve system scalability, reliability, and business agility. The objective of the study is to examine contemporary architectural approaches, algorithmic concepts, and operational models that can contribute to achieving an optimal balance between system flexibility and fault tolerance. The results obtained indicate that a phased migration strategy aimed at creating a standardized, configurable purchase management page in standard retail platform (DPX) is the most effective. This approach not only improved core technical metrics—such as achieving 99.99% availability and a significant reduction in KTLO, equivalent to 2.5 full-time employees per year—but also equipped stakeholders with tools for rapid layout updates without writing code. The presented findings will be useful to chief technology officers, heads of engineering, and software architects managing the modernization of business-critical legacy systems.

The paper presents the results of studies on the neutralization of water-soluble PO4-3 ions in phosphogypsum, which have a negative effect on the properties of gypsum binder. The results of physical and chemical studies of phosphogypsum and metallurgical slag are presented. The use of iron-containing additives can also improve some physical properties of the final product.

It has been established that neutralization of water-soluble PO4-3 in phosphogypsum using Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions is a promising method that not only improves the quality of building materials but also solves environmental problems associated with phosphogypsum disposal.

This article presents a theoretical and analytical overview of the prospects for implementing a vertical-horizontal logistics architecture for automated parcel delivery within buildings in high-density urban environments. The study is conducted within a multidisciplinary framework that integrates principles of systems engineering, architectural adaptation, digital logistics, and urban planning. Special attention is given to the comparative analysis of three architectural models of vertical delivery in terms of their compatibility with existing building stock, energy efficiency, level of digital integration, and implementation costs. The research theoretically reconstructs and substantiates a combined model of logistics infrastructure that includes an entry node, a vertical transport shaft, and distributed floor-level storage lockers. This model is compared to the engineering solution developed by Skyscraper Parcels, which is considered an applied projection of the theoretical concept. A structural and functional analysis of system components is conducted, along with an assessment of operational efficiency based on key metrics such as delivery time, failure resistance, parcel loss rate, and user satisfaction. The study finds that integrating logistics infrastructure into building architecture contributes to reduced operational risks, enhanced delivery security, and improved scalability of the system. At the same time, it emphasizes the need for regulatory standardization, architectural adaptability, and the development of universal IoT platforms to enable broader implementation of such systems in urban settings. The findings will be valuable to professionals in smart construction, digital logistics, architectural design, and urban infrastructure management.

The article presents an analysis of contemporary scientific approaches to understanding the impact of intrauterine experiences on the development of psychosomatic reactions in adulthood. The study is based on an interdisciplinary methodology that integrates neurobiological, epigenetic, and psychodynamic concepts of fetal programming. Particular attention is given to the analysis of structural and functional brain changes, epigenetic markers of stress reactivity (NR3C1, SLC6A4), and the role of metabolic disturbances identified in newborns exposed to prenatal distress. The mechanisms of unconscious somatic memory formation and its manifestation as persistent psychosomatic symptoms are examined. The paper systematizes neurophysiological and epigenetic effects with consideration of sex differences, the nature of maternal distress, and the quality of the postnatal environment. The limitations of universal fetal programming models are highlighted, particularly in relation to cultural-geographical, genetic, and environmental variables. The article substantiates the need to move from monofactorial to integrative models that combine insights from neuroscience, psychoanalysis, and social epidemiology. The theoretical analysis is accompanied by an original interpretation of symptoms as a form of unconscious reconstruction of prenatal affective bonds, reflected in the structure of somatic memory and cognitive-emotional regulation. This article will be of interest to professionals in psychosomatic medicine, perinatal psychology, epigenetics, and clinical neuroscience, as well as practicing psychotherapists working with somatic symptoms of unclear origin.
