Types of Articles

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and short communications.

Original research should present new findings through clinical, experimental, observational, computational, or field-based investigation. Reviews should critically assess existing knowledge and identify research gaps. Short communications should report focused findings or emerging developments with sufficient supporting evidence.

Peer Review and Editorial Standards

Submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial assessment and peer review to evaluate their relevance, originality, methodological rigor, clarity, and ethical integrity.

Authors may be invited to revise their manuscripts before a final decision. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit and remain independent of publication charges or commercial interests.

Further information is available on the journal’s Peer Review Process page.

Open Access and Author Copyright

All published articles are freely available online without subscription fees or an embargo period. Readers may read, download, print, search, and share published research.

Authors retain copyright in their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, and archive the article while identifying itself as the original publisher.

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated. This license permits sharing, adaptation, and commercial reuse, provided that appropriate credit is given, the license is linked, and any changes are indicated.

Open access helps research reach readers across academic institutions, veterinary practices, conservation organizations, and communities worldwide.

Publication Ethics and Animal Welfare

TAJVSWD promotes responsible research, accurate reporting, and transparent scholarly communication. Authors must acknowledge sources, disclose funding and relevant conflicts of interest, and obtain applicable ethical approvals and permissions.

Animal research must address welfare, humane handling, and measures to minimize pain, distress, and suffering. Clinical studies involving privately owned animals must include appropriate owner consent where required.

Wildlife research must respect relevant collection permits, protected-species requirements, fieldwork permissions, and biosafety safeguards. Sensitive information, such as precise locations of threatened species, should be handled responsibly.

Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and manipulation of peer review are unacceptable. Further details are provided in the journal’s Publication Ethics policy.

Transparent Publication Charges

Any applicable Article Processing Charges, payment conditions, and available waiver or discount arrangements are described on the journal’s Article Processing Charges page.

Publication charges support publishing services and do not guarantee acceptance or influence editorial decisions.
